Jordan Aims to Boost Trade with India to $4 Billion: Jordanian Ambassador Visits IACCIA
In a significant move to deepen economic ties, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan H.E. MR. YOUSEF MUSTAFA ALI ABDELGHANI has reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relationship with India during an official visit to the India and Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (IACCIA).
Speaking at the Chamber, the Ambassador emphasized the strong foundation of India–Jordan relations, highlighting that bilateral trade currently stands at USD 3 billion. He also noted that India has invested USD 1.5 billion in Jordan, reflecting the depth of existing cooperation.
The Ambassador announced Jordan’s plan to increase trade with India to USD 4 billion by the end of this year, focusing on high-potential sectors including: Green Energy, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Mining and Natural Resource Extraction (Potash and Phosphate), Fertilizer Production, Pharmaceutical Industries, Agricultural Products.
During the visit, Dr. Waiel Awwad, Acting Secretary General of IACCIA, welcomed the Ambassador and held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation. Both parties acknowledged the vital role IACCIA plays in facilitating partnerships between India and Arab nations.
The Ambassador expressed his full support for IACCIA’s mission and commended Dr. Awwad for his leadership, wishing him continued success in strengthening ties between Jordan, India, and the wider Arab region.

في خطوة مهمة لتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية، جدد سفير المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية السيد يوسف مصطفى علي عبد الغني تأكيد التزام بلاده بتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية مع الهند خلال زيارة رسمية إلى غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة للدول العربية والهند (IACCIA).
وخلال حديثه في الغرفة، أكد السفير على الأساس القوي للعلاقات بين الهند والأردن، مشيراً إلى أن حجم التبادل التجاري بين البلدين يبلغ حالياً 3 مليارات دولار أمريكي. كما لفت إلى أن الهند استثمرت ما يقارب 1.5 مليار دولار في الأردن، مما يعكس عمق التعاون القائم بين الجانبين.
وأعلن السفير عن خطة الأردن لرفع حجم التبادل التجاري مع الهند إلى 4 مليارات دولار أمريكي بحلول نهاية هذا العام، مع التركيز على قطاعات واعدة تشمل:
الطاقة الخضراء
تكنولوجيا المعلومات والذكاء الاصطناعي
التعدين واستخراج الموارد الطبيعية (البوتاس والفوسفات)
صناعة الأسمدة
الصناعات الدوائية
المنتجات الزراعية
وخلال الزيارة، رحّب الدكتور وائل عوّاد، الأمين العام المكلّف لـ IACCIA، بالسفير وأجرى معه مناقشات موسعة حول سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي. وأكد الجانبان على الدور الحيوي الذي تلعبه الغرفة في تسهيل الشراكات بين الهند والدول العربية.
وأعرب السفير عن دعمه الكامل لرسالة غرفة التجارة، مشيدا” بقيادة الدكتور وائل عواد، ومتمنياً له مزيداً من النجاح في تعزيز العلاقات بين الأردن والهند والمنطقة العربية بأسرها.
