India-Arab Economic Relations

IACCIA, MPIDC sign MoU to boost exports from Madhya Pradesh

The India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (IACCIA) under the leadership of Acting Secretary General Dr. Waiel Awwad has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) to promote export trade and economic cooperation.

This partnership marks a significant step in IACCIA’s ongoing efforts to connect Indian enterprises with opportunities in the Arab region by building stronger institutional linkages at the state level. Through this MoU, IACCIA aims to facilitate trade promotion activities, enhance export capacity, and create platforms for Madhya Pradesh-based businesses—especially MSMEs—to access global markets.

Key objectives of the MoU include:

  • Leveraging IACCIA’s expertise and international network to support the export ambitions of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Jointly organising trade-related seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets.
  • Conducting stakeholder consultations to identify and address challenges faced by current and potential exporters.
  • Encouraging participation of Madhya Pradesh’s MSMEs in international trade fairs and virtual exhibitions hosted by IACCIA.

The MoU also ensures confidentiality and mutual respect for each party’s data, models, and collaborative efforts. Both IACCIA and MPIDC have committed to maintaining the integrity of the partnership while retaining the flexibility to engage with other institutions.

While the MoU is non-binding, it establishes a clear framework for future legally binding agreements and actions aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth through export promotion.

By formalising this collaboration, IACCIA continues to play a pivotal role in bridging Indian and Arab markets, with Madhya Pradesh poised to become a key beneficiary of this growing engagement.
