Courtesy Meeting Held Between Arab League Mission, IACCIA, and FICCI to Discuss Strategic Collaboration

A high-level courtesy meeting was held at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) between senior representatives of the Arab League Mission, the India and Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (IACCIA) and FICCI leadership to explore avenues for future collaboration.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mazin A.N Masaoodi Minister Plenipotentiary, League of Arab States, and Dr. Waiel Awwad, Secretary General of IACCIA, met with Ms. Jyoti Vij, the Director General and Arab Division of FICCI and Mr. Goutam Ghosh, Regional Head – Middle East & North Africa and South Asia Head – Diaspora & Multilateral Engagements Senior Director, to discuss the evolving role of IACCIA and potential strategic partnerships with FICCI aimed at deepening economic and cultural ties between India and the Arab world.
The meeting focused on joint initiatives, business delegations, and sector-specific forums that could serve as platforms for mutual growth and investment. Both parties expressed strong interest in fostering closer cooperation to enhance trade, investment, and people-to-people ties. It was agreed that FICCI would join the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and both parties would sign a memorandum of understanding, which will take place on the side-lines of the Seventh Arab-Indian Partnership Meeting to be held in one of the Arab countries.
The courtesy call marked a positive step forward in strengthening Indo-Arab relations through collaborative engagement between leading chambers and diplomatic missions.
لقاء ودّي بين جامعة الدول العربية وFICCI وIACCIA لبحث آفاق التعاون الإستراتيجي العربي-الهندي
نيودلهي – شهد مقرّ اتحاد غرف التجارة والصناعة الهندية (FICCI) انعقاد لقاء رفيع المستوى جمع بين بعثة جامعة الدول العربية، وغرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة الهندية العربية (IACCIA)، وقيادة FICCI، في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستراتيجي بين الهند والعالم العربي.
وترأس وفد جامعة الدول العربية سعادة السفير الدكتور مازن المسعودي، الوزير المفوض بالجامعة، بينما مثّل IACCIA الدكتور وائل عوّاد، الأمين العام للغرفة. ومن جانب FICCI، حضرت السيدة جيوتي فيج، المديرة العامة والمسؤولة عن الشؤون العربية، إلى جانب السيد غوتام غوش، المدير الإقليمي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، ورئيس قطاع شؤون الجاليات والتعاون متعدد الأطراف.
وناقش المشاركون خلال اللقاء سبل تعزيز الشراكات الإستراتيجية بين الجانبين، وتوسيع نطاق التعاون المؤسسي من خلال مبادرات ومشروعات مشتركة، من أبرزها تنظيم وفود أعمال ومنتديات قطاعية تسهم في تعزيز التبادل التجاري وجذب الاستثمارات. كما جرى استعراض الدور المتنامي لـIACCIA كجسر للتواصل بين القطاع الخاص العربي والهندي، والبحث في آليات تعميق الروابط الاقتصادية والثقافية بين الشعوب. واتفق الجانبان على انضمام اتحاد FICCI إلى مجلس إدارة IACCIA، إلى جانب التوقيع على مذكرة تفاهم مشتركة خلال الاجتماع السابع للشراكة العربية-الهندية، المزمع عقده قريباً في إحدى الدول العربية.
ويُعدّ هذا اللقاء خطوة جديدة ومهمة نحو ترسيخ التعاون العربي-الهندي، وتفعيل أطر التنسيق المشترك بين الغرف التجارية والبعثات الدبلوماسية من الجانبين.
