
IACCIA delegation meets Indian Ambassador in Doha during Qatar Trade Summit visit

On the sidelines of their participation in the “Qatar Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025,” the delegation from the India and Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (IACCIA) paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Vipul, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, at the Embassy of India in Doha on Thursday, 8th May 2025.
The IACCIA delegation was led by Acting Secretary General Dr. Waiel S.H. Awwad and included IACCIA Trade Head Mr. Kapil Suri, AMA Herbal Group of Companies Co-Founder & CEO Mr. Yawer Ali Shah, Software Engineer Mr. Noman Awwad representing AIonOS from the United Kingdom, and Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Khan, IACCIA President for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The visit aimed to brief the Ambassador on the chamber’s activities during the summit and explore ways to further strengthen India-Qatar economic and trade relations.
During the meeting, Dr. Awwad apprised Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vipul of IACCIA’s active engagement in the summit’s various sessions and panel discussions. He highlighted the chamber’s ongoing efforts to promote collaboration between Indian and Arab businesses and emphasised the importance of such platforms in fostering cross-border partnerships and sustainable development.
Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vipul welcomed the delegation’s visit and appreciated IACCIA’s proactive role in building commercial bridges between India and the Arab world. He acknowledged the significance of Indian participation in international trade forums such as the Qatar Summit and encouraged further engagement by Indian business leaders to explore opportunities in Qatar and the wider GCC region.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to facilitating greater trade, investment, and innovation-driven cooperation between Indian and Arab enterprises, in alignment with both India’s growth ambitions and Qatar’s vision for a diversified, knowledge-based economy.
