New Delhi
The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) participated prominently in the 21st International Franchise and Retail Show held on 17–18 May 2025 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The two-day event brought together over 500 franchisors from a wide range of industries and served as a major platform for networking, investment, and business expansion.
The Omani delegation was led by Eng. Hamood Salim Mohammed Al Saadi, Second Vice Chairman of the Chamber in Al Batinah South Governorate, and Madam Haritha Al Busaidi, Director of Exhibitions and Oman Chamber Activities. The delegation represented a strong lineup of Omani companies with a special focus on the food and beverage sector.
The Omani pavilion attracted considerable interest from investors, entrepreneurs, and business professionals. Key participating brands included Seven Fries, Hurof Cafe, Chain, Chaii, Thor, and a leading perfume company, all of which showcased Oman’s growing potential in international franchising.
During the expo, the India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (IACCIA) Acting Secretary General Dr. Waiel Awwad along with Mr. Kapil Kumria, CEO of Optimax Ace Global Company, visited the pavilion and held productive discussions with the Omani delegation. Topics ranged from promoting bilateral trade to exploring franchise and retail opportunities for expanding Omani businesses in the Indian market.
