A global milestone in holistic healthcare and AYUSH integration

Bengaluru

In a significant step forward for global wellness and integrative healthcare, the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana International Wellness Centre was inaugurated in Bengaluru on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® (SPSCT). The event marked a grand celebration of international cooperation, research, and the growing importance of traditional medicine in modern health systems.

The inauguration witnessed the presence of several esteemed global dignitaries, including Mr. Ivanov Alexey Alexandrovich from Russia, Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, Deputy High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to India, and Mr. Murthada MJ Ibrahim, Chairman of MBS Oman. Adding to the strength of diplomatic and trade collaboration, the event was graced by Dr. Waiel SH Awwad, Secretary General of the Indian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCIA), whose presence underlined the growing strategic partnership between India and the Arab region in the field of AYUSH and integrative medicine.

Also present was Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of the Indian Economic Trade Organisation (IETO) and Knowledge Partner of the Centre, who reinforced the need for transnational frameworks to advance research, education, and clinical deployment of holistic medicine globally. The dignitaries formally inaugurated the 13,000 square foot wellness facility, envisioned as a centre for healing, research, and innovation in integrative and traditional systems of medicine.

Founded in 2012 by Prof. Dr. A.V. Srinivasan, the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® has long been recognised for its wide-ranging philanthropic efforts, from providing free education, shelter, and healthcare to vulnerable populations across Karnataka, to advancing research in herbal medicine and spiritual well-being. The inauguration was a culmination of these years of service and marked a major leap into global wellness collaboration and scientific innovation.

The event also showcased significant research contributions from prominent Indian institutions. Scientists from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, and Banaras Hindu University presented groundbreaking work in herbal oncology, with an emphasis on integrative treatments for liver cancer. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were announced for joint research initiatives, aligning with global efforts to scientifically validate traditional medicine as a credible pillar of modern healthcare.

A major educational milestone was unveiled through the launch of the International Vanguard Virtual University in Bengaluru, developed in collaboration with Kennedy University, USA. This AI-powered academic institution will offer certificate to PhD programs in integrative health sciences, robotic surgery, and allied technologies. The university aims to build a global cadre of professionals trained in blending ancient wellness traditions with futuristic medical systems.

As AYUSH Commissioner of of the Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce and the India-GCC Trade Council, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan led a high-level dialogue on trade and investment in AYUSH, focusing on creating international certification protocols, expanding export frameworks, and establishing clinical research hubs in the Arab region. IACCIA’s active involvement throughout the event underscored its mission to elevate India’s holistic health expertise onto the global stage, with a special focus on Arab-India cooperation in traditional medicine, education, and sustainable healthcare.

In his closing address, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan remarked, “We do not merely serve; we transform. From our humble villages to the global stage, we carry the torch of holistic, compassionate service, guided by the wisdom of the ancients and empowered by the tools of the future.”

With support from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministries of AYUSH and Home Affairs, and international collaborators, the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana International Wellness Centre stands poised to become a global beacon of integrative excellence. As a partner in this historic initiative, IACCIA reaffirms its commitment to supporting impactful collaborations that advance global health, wellness, and unity through the fusion of knowledge, commerce, and compassion.
