Tunisian Ambassador invites Indian businesses to explore African and European markets via Tunis
Ambassador of Tunisia to India, Her Excellency Ms. Hayet Talbi EP extended a warm invitation to Indian companies to leverage Tunisia’s strategic geographical location as a gateway to both African and European markets. The Ambassador made this call during a courtesy meeting with Dr. Waiel Awwad, Acting Secretary General of the India-Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (IACCIA), at IACCIA Headquarters in New Delhi.
Highlighting Tunisia’s pivotal position at the crossroads of Africa and Europe, the Ambassador emphasised the country’s potential to become a vital hub for expanding India’s trade and investment footprint in both regions. She underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing economic ties between India and Tunisia.
As part of ongoing efforts to promote greater engagement, discussions included plans to organise a dedicated meeting with Indian business leaders. This initiative, in collaboration with the IACCIA, aims to establish a dynamic platform for facilitating trade partnerships and encouraging cross-border collaboration not only between India and Tunisia but also with the broader Arab world.
Ms. Hayet Talbi congratulated Dr. Waiel Awwad on the launch of IACCIA and assured her full support for its future initiatives and objectives. A key highlight of the engagement was Tunisia’s upcoming International Food, Services & Agriculture (IFSA) Exhibition, scheduled for July. The exhibition is set to serve as a strategic venue to explore new markets, foster trade relationships, and deepen cooperation between India, the Arab world, and African nations.

بي، دعوةً حارةً للشركات الهندية ورواد الأعمال للاستفادة من الموقع الجغرافي الإستراتيجي لتونس كبوابة للأسواق الأفريقية والأوروبية. وجاءت هذه الدعوة خلال لقاءٍ مع الدكتور وائل حسن عواد، الأمين العام بالنيابة لغرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة الهندية العربية (IACCIA)، في مقرها الرئيسي بنيودلهي. وأكدت السفيرة، مسلطةً الضوء على موقع تونس المحوري على مفترق الطرق بين أفريقيا وأوروبا، على إمكانات البلاد لتصبح مركزًا حيويًا لتوسيع نطاق التجارة والاستثمار الهندي في المنطقتين. كما شددت سعادتها على أهمية تعزيز التعاون الثنائي وتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية بين الهند وتونس. وفي إطار الجهود المستمرة لتعزيز التعاون، تضمّن النقاش خططًا لتنظيم اجتماعٍ خاص مع قادة الأعمال الهنود. تهدف هذه المبادرة، بالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة الهندية العربية(IACCIA)، إلى إنشاء منصة ديناميكية لتسهيل الشراكات التجارية وتشجيع التعاون عبر الحدود، ليس فقط بين الهند وتونس، بل أيضًا بين العالم العربي الأوسع. هنأت سعادة السيدة حياة الطالبي الدكتور وائل عواد على إطلاق غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة الهندية العربية (IACCIA)، وأكدت دعمها الكامل لمبادراتها وأهدافها المستقبلية. ومن أبرز فعاليات هذا التعاون معرض تونس الدولي للأغذية والخدمات والزراعة (IFSA)، المقرر إقامته في يوليو/تموز من هذا العام. ويهدف المعرض إلى أن يكون بمثابة منصة استراتيجية لاستكشاف أسواق جديدة وتعزيز العلاقات التجارية وتعميق التعاون بين الهند والعالم العربي والدول الأفريقية
