Diplomatic Visit: H.E. Mr. Abdulmalik Al Eryani, Ambassador of Yemen, Visits IACCIA Headquarters
In a significant step toward strengthening economic and commercial relations between India and the Arab world, His Excellency Abdulmalik Al Eryani, Ambassador of the Yemen to India, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture in New Delhi.
The Ambassador was warmly received by Dr. Waiel Awwad, Secretary General (In-charge) of IACCIA, during a high-level meeting focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment cooperation between India and Yemen.
The discussions explored new avenues for economic partnership and emphasized the importance of reinforcing long-standing commercial ties between the two countries. Both sides highlighted several sectors of mutual interest, including agriculture, healthcare, trade facilitation, and capacity building, while underscoring the Chamber’s strategic role as a leading institutional bridge connecting India with the 22 member states of the Arab League.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Waiel Awwad reaffirmed IACCIA’s commitment to supporting stronger business-to-business (B2B) engagement and facilitating greater market access for Yemeni enterprises seeking opportunities in India. He also emphasized the Chamber’s continued efforts to assist Indian companies and exporters in expanding their footprint across Arab markets.
H.E. Ambassador Abdulmalik Al Eryani praised the Chamber’s active role in promoting Indo-Arab economic cooperation. He also gained insight into the Chamber’s internal operations and commended Dr. Awwad’s efforts in strengthening the institution, facilitating its activities, and extending support and assistance to all Arab countries. The Ambassador further expressed optimism regarding the future of bilateral trade relations between Yemen and India.

في خطوة مهمة نحو تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية بين الهند والعالم العربي، قام سعادة عبد الملك الارياني سفير جمهورية اليمن لدى الهند ، بزيارة ودية إلى مقر الغرفة العربية الهندية للتجارة والصناعة والزراعة في العاصمة الهندية نيودلهي .
وكان في استقباله الدكتور وائل عوّاد، القائم باعمال الأمين العام للغرفة، حيث عُقد اجتماع رفيع المستوى تناول سبل توسيع التعاون التجاري والاستثماري بين الهند واليمن.
وشهد اللقاء مناقشات مثمرة حول آفاق الشراكة الاقتصادية وتعزيز العلاقات التجارية التاريخية بين البلدين، مع التركيز على عدد من القطاعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، من بينها الزراعة، والرعاية الصحية، وتسهيل التجارة، وبناء القدرات، إلى جانب التأكيد على الدور الاستراتيجي الذي تضطلع به الغرفة باعتبارها جسرًا مؤسسيًا يربط الهند بالدول العربية الأعضاء في جامعة الدول العربية.
وخلال اللقاء، أكد الدكتور وائل عوّاد التزام الغرفة بدعم وتعزيز التواصل بين مجتمع الأعمال في الجانبين، وتسهيل فرص التعاون بين الشركات الهندية واليمنية، إضافة إلى مساعدة الشركات اليمنية في الوصول إلى السوق الهندية، ودعم الشركات الهندية الراغبة في توسيع حضورها في الأسواق العربية.
من جانبه، أشاد سعادة السفير عبد الملك الإرياني بالدور الفاعل الذي تقوم به الغرفة في تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي العربي الهندي، كما اطّلع على آلية عمل الغرفة وأنشطتها الداخلية، مثمنًا جهود الدكتور وائل عوّاد في تطوير عمل الغرفة، وتسهيل مهامها، وتقديم الدعم والمساندة للدول العربية كافة. كما أعرب عن تفاؤله بمستقبل العلاقات التجارية الثنائية بين اليمن والهند.
